Karen Jerwood is a commercial real estate attorney at the firm of Firsel Ross Gussis & Alexander.  Karen focuses her practice on the acquisition, disposition, development and leasing of commercial properties including retail, office, restaurants, medical office buildings, vacant land and multi-family projects.

She has substantial experience reviewing, negotiating and drafting real estate contracts, closing documents, loan documents, lease agreements, ancillary lease documents and other related documents. She also conducts property due diligence, performs title and survey reviews, and analyzes zoning, land use, and development restrictions.

Karen has a strong background in real estate title insurance. Prior to joining Firsel Ross Gussis & Alexander, Karen worked as a commercial title underwriter at a title company in Chicago where she resolved title clearance issues and managed the closing process for condominium, single-family and commercial projects. 

Karen is fluent in Spanish.
